Today at about 12 pm we did a snap screening of the last lecture. It sort of served as an office warming party, an orientation for the most recent member of the Alchemy team and yet more free food. Some of us had already downloaded and seen Randy’s performance at CMU. This was a chance for the rest of the team to catch up.
It was an over whelming performance. There were moments of complete silence where we were focused on Randy’s message and delivery.
- Believe in your dreams, your teams and Karma. Work hard, for there is no other secret for success
- The power of walls to keep out those who don’t want it bad enough.
Yet there were many instances of carefree laughter and open smiles. The best part was Randy’s ability to not take himself too seriously and his ability to make his audience see the humour in lighter moments. And we did get to see an amazing piece of work from the Building Virtual Worlds class project collection.
We all took away a bit of Randy’s wisdom with us. But there are two lines that stayed with me the most
- Everybody will show you their good side if you wait long enough.
- Don’t give up on your dreams. Don’t let others give up on theirs.
If you haven’t seen the last lecture as yet, take out a few minutes today and do it. Here are the links via my original post.
